29/07/2017 - We are delighted to be able to report that the European Commission has proposed that the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers amend the Creative Europe programme so that the Orchestra is formally recognised as an organisation authorised to receive financial support from the programme. The EUYO is exceedingly grateful for the work of the Commission, and in particular for the support of Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker; Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Commissioner Tibor Navracsics; and the DG for Culture and Education, as well as members of the Parliament and Council. The EUYO has been supported by the EU’s institutions since the founding of the Orchestra in 1976, and is proud to continue its work as Cultural Ambassador for the EU’s highest ideals.
