25/05/2017 - Organised in collaboration with Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU 2017 and conducted by Brian Schembri, the EUYO performed alongside the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Malta to mark Europe Day 2017. This event featured musicians from EUYO as well as the Malta EU Presidency Choir and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.
The EUYO musicians came together to perform the world premiere of "If" by Karl Fiorini inspired by Rudyard Kipling's poem, followed by Beethoven Symphony No. 9. Our players then featured in a Late Night Music Club Session presented by one of our members Sinéad O'Halloran, with special guest appearances by Ira Losco, Kafena and members of the Malta Youth Orchestra.
