EUYO EDUCATION AND PERFORMANCE RESIDENCY AT DUBAI OPERA ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL 2018
The EUYO is pleased to announce a major residency at the new Dubai Opera from 5 -13 April 2018. In a wide-ranging series of open rehearsals, outreach events and concerts, the Orchestra's residency will engage a diverse group of audiences from the most formal to the most informal, and include work with young musicians resident in Dubai and the UAE. The Orchestra will travel as a cultural ambassador for the EU with musicians from all 28 EU member states.
The concert programmes will be conducted by the Orchestra's Chief Conductor, Vasily Petrenko, and will include piano concertos with the critically acclaimed young Jordanian pianist soloist Karim Said. A series of open rehearsals, workshops and side by side work with young UAE musicians will include initiatives developed as part of the Orchestra's Creative Europe programme, including the EUYO's innovative Close Up project.
