Together with Ferrara Musica, the European Union Youth Orchestra hosts the third edition of the EUYO Ferrara Chamber Academy in September 2020 this year.
A contribution of the European Union Youth Orchestra to the development of young Italian musicians, the Academy will take place in Ferrara, the Orchestra’s home city, and will focus on chamber music teaching and performance. Top-level musicians of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe will teach, mentor and perform with EUYO players, who will in turn teach, mentor and play with young Italian musicians from the age of 16 to 24 – and from the age of 12 if they come from Ferrara. All three groups will share a true EUYO residency experience living and working together for two weeks in Ferrara.
Given the current situation relating to Sars-CoV-2, the project is expected to take place physically, but if conditions change, in order to guarantee the priority of safeguarding the health of all musicians, the project may take place in the same dates as a EUYO Digital online project.
