14/12/2020 - The EUYO is pleased to share online the recording of The Ferrara Concert from the European Music Gallery Festival 2020 on Wednesday, December 16 at 8pm CET, as part of the Orchestra’s initiative to celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday.
The concert, recorded on August 21 at the EUYO’s home in the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara Claudio Abbado, was performed by an orchestra of Italian EUYO members and alumni, conducted by maestro Gianandrea Noseda, with one of Italy’s youngest and most talented Italian pianists, Beatrice Rana, as soloist. The programme includes Beethoven's piano concerto No. 3 and Schubert's Symphony No. 3.
The performance, organised with the support of the EUYO’s partner Ferrara Musica, was part of the European Music Gallery Festival 2020, a series of 24 socially distanced concerts in 19 countries across Europe, involving 282 musicians coming from all 27 EU countries and the UK.
