Catharina Feyen

Born 1997 in a musical family, Catharina started playing the double bass at the age of seven. She completed her bachelor studies in LUCA school of Arts - Leuven (BE) taught by Jan Buysschaert and in Codarts - Rotterdam (NL) under the tutelage of Luis Cabrera. She is currently doing her postgraduate studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama - London (UK) with the continued guidance of Luis Cabrera.
Catharina has had the chance to participate in masterclasses with a lot of inspiring musicians like Wies de Bouvé, Joel Quarington, Janne Saksala and Edicson Ruiz. She has played as a substitute in orchestra’s like the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and de Munt / la Monnaie among others and has also participated in the Pacific Music Festival in Japan, where she had to chance to play under conductors like Valery Gergiev, Christoph Eischenbach and Marin Alsop.
