Davide Rigato was born on 29/10/1999 in Rovigo, where he lives. At the age of four he began studying the violin with the Suzuki method, and afterwards attended the violin course at the Conservatories of Rovigo, Rimini, Vicenza with Masters F. Guglielmo, M. Sciarretta and E. Ligresti, with whom he obtained in 2017 the Diploma at the Conservatory “A. Pedrollo”, with the highest marks. He perfected his skills through numerous masterclasses, among which those held by D. Berlinsky, New Italian Quartet, M. Fornaciari, M. Fiorentini, Solisti Veneti.
He won the first prize in important competitions such as “Un Po di Note”, “Crescendo” with the special jury prize for “best violinist”, “Città di Riccione”, “Antonio Salieri”, “Luigi Zannuccoli”, “Città di Giussano”, “Piove di Sacco”, “Pi Kappa Lamda” and others.
In 2013 he joined the Trio Promenade, with whom he performed on the National Italian Television, in “La Fenice” theatre in Venice, in Switzerland. He won with the trio many competitions.
As a soloist he has performed both in Italy and abroad, in Rome, Florence, Modena, Vicenza, Padua, Munich, New York.
In 2016 he won a scholarship that allowed him to attend the Aaron Rosand masterclass at the “Summit Music Festival” in New York. He studied with Sergey Krylov in a two-years specialization course in Pavia. In the academic year 2018/2019 he won a scholarship that allowed him to study at Temple University in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania,USA), with E. Schmieder. He also played in several theaters in Philadelphia and New Jersey, as well as with the Temple University Symphony Orchestra. He currently studies at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome under the guidance of S. Tckacherian.
