Lluc Pascual Sarret
Born in 1998 in a small town in Catalonia, Lluc began to play the cello at the age of 9 and studied with Laia Puig finishing his pre-bachelor studies with Honorable Mention. He is currently in the class of Gustav Rivinius in Maastricht where he studies his Bachelor's degree.
He has received masterclasses and advice from Marc Coopey, Reinhard Latzko, Gabriel Schwabe, Fernando Arias, Alexander Chaushyan and Frans Helmerson.
Lluc has won the Honourable Mention in 2018 Pau Casals International Cello Competition, 1st Prize in Cidade de Vigo String Competition 2020, and 2nd Prize and Special Prize, for the best interpretation of a Catalan composer for the interpretation of Cassasó Cello Suite, in the 2017 BBVA Music Competition.
He is a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) since 2021, in addition to that he has played with the Young Orchestra of Catalonia (JONC) for many years touring in multiple cities in Europe.
Lluc plays a Claude Pierray from 1720 give in loan from the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds in the Netherlands.
