Javier Rodas
Currently studying at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, found his biggest inspiration through Natasha Tchitch with whom he studied bachelor in Musikene, graduating in 2020.
During these years he also received lessons from professors David Quiggle and Karsten Dobbers. Born in 1995 he started studying viola with José Vicente Ibáñez in his hometown Almería, where he also studied piano for 8 years.
Very passionated about cinema music, arranging and interdisciplinary projects, he is part of the Hokusai Quartet, based in Amsterdam.
Member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE) since 2017, has been principal of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra (Festival d´Aix en Pronvence) in 2018-2019 with conductors Kazushi Ono and Daniele Rustioni, member of the Netherlands Youth Orchestra (NJO) in 2017-2018, and member of the Andalucía Youth Orchestra 2013-2017. He has also collaborated with the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland (NYOS), Youth Orchestra of Euskadi (EGO), Wiener Jeunesse Orchestra and professional orchestras as Orquesta Ciudad de Granada (OCG), Orquesta Ciudad de Almería (OCAL), and Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga (OFM).
He has attended masterclasses from Nobuko Imai, Marie Chilemme, Laurent Verney and worked with Daishin Kashimoto, Péter Eötvös, Enrico Onofri, Lutz Kohler and Kaija Saariaho.
