Agnieszka Detko

Agnieszka was born in 1996 in Warsaw, where she started her music education playing the violin. At the age of 15 she switched to double bass and as a student of Adam Kotula she was awarded multiple prizes at national double bass competitions. She studied at the Academy of Music in Wrocław with Paweł Jabłczyński and did an Erasmus semester at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Wies de Boevé. In 2021 she finished her master studies under the guidance of Janusz Widzyk at the Academy of Arts in Szczecin, graduating with a distinction.

In June 2021 she won the academy position at NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover for seasons 2021-2022 and 2022-23.

Apart from the EUYO, Agnieszka has been a member of numerous youth orchestras such as International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra, Baltic Sea Philharmonic, Sommermusikakademie Schloss Hundisburg and others. She is particularly interested in baroque music and historical performance, she was a member of Intercollegiate Baroque Orchestra and took part in baroque music workshops Varmia Musica Academia. She has been repeatedly invited to play as a guest with Capella Cracoviensis.
