Erik Pignotti

My name is Erik Pignotti, I was born in Tuscany, in the Florentine countryside. Like many other brass musicians, I started to play trombone at a young age in my town band. As my passion grew I decided to pursue my studies at the “Dante” musical high school in Florence and then I chose to get my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree under the guidance of Maestro Antonio Sicoli, in the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. I consider myself a hard worker, dedicated musician and perfectionist. I always aim to be the best musician I can. I have played in the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana (OGI), as a stable member, in the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and currently in the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, as a stable member as well. I have also played in many italian orchestras, among which the renowned Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. The pandemic has slowed down the career development of many young musicians but I’m firmly convinced that perseverance, patience and passion will be our strongest allies.
