Lia Melo

Part of the EUYO familiy since 2018, Lia has had the immense pleasure of living some of the best moments of her life while playing as an EUYO member- an experience that she gratefully regards as life-changing.

Having had the honor of being the 2019 Recipient of the Lionel Bryer Award, she later worked as the Portuguese Player Coordinator for the European Music Gallery Festival 2020- The Lisbon Concert, before taking the role as EUYO Auditions Coordinator. Interested in learning more about Orchestra Management, she is now delighted to join this wonderful team as the Projects and Orchestra Assistant.

Born in Portugal, Lia started playing the viola at the age of 8 and is currently a Bernard Alexander Royle Shore CBE Scholar at the Royal College of Music, where she studies with professor Nathan Braude.
