Marie-Claire Gakovic

Marie-Claire received her first viola lessons at the age of 7 with Marie-Noëlle Sailly at the Aix-en-Provence Conservatory, then took lessons with Isabelle Lequien and Michel Michalakakos at the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory in the Paris region. In 2018 she began her Bachelor studies at the Musikhochschule Freiburg, Germany with Prof.Wolfram Christ. She is currently studying at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart with Prof. Andra Darzins.
As a passionate orchestral musician, she was involved in several orchestral academies, including Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, Orchestre-Atelier Ostinato in Paris, Junge Oper Baden-Württemberg, Neue Philarmonie München, which gave her the opportunity to work with conductors such as Alain Altinoglu, Carlo Rizzi, Marko Letonja.
Performances at Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, Festival d'Avignon, El Jem International Festival of Symphonic Music in Tunisia, St. Donat Music Festival in Croatia, Ljubljana Festival in Slovenia, etc.
Masterclasses with Garth Knox, Roland Glassl, Gérard Caussé, Sabine Toutain, Jean-Baptiste Brunier broadened her musical horizons.
