Carlos Higón Herrera

Carlos Higón Herrera was born in Alborache (Valencia). At the age of 8 he starts his studies with Antonio Gómez Lopezosa and Gregorio Buendía Torices. After that, he enters into the Professional Conservatory “María de Molina” de Úbeda with Jesús Forero and David Almécija. In 2017, he enters into the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid. In 2020, he participates in an Erasmus exchange with Alexandre Baty at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris, where he gets the first position in the entrance audition. In 2021 he finished the Superior Musical Education with honours in Madrid with Óscar Gonzalo Grande Pombo and Enrique Rioja Lis.

He has collaborated with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Radio-Televisión Española, the Orquesta Nacional de España and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid.

From 2018, he belongs to the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (Spanish Youth National Orchestra), offering concerts under the conducting of masters as Josep Pons or Lutz Köhler. He has also collaborated with the Orchestra Română de Tineret (Romanian Youth Orchestra) in Bucharest, Cluj and the Musikverein in Vienna. In 2022, he became member of the European Youth Orchestra. From 2016 he has participated several times in the project "Talentos", organised by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid and the Teatro Real. He has also belonged to the Orquesta Joven de Andalucía (Young Andalusian Orchestra) or the Cordoba’s Young Orchestra.
