Stefano Barbato was born in Parma in 1997. After the secondary school he started his professional percussion’s education in Parma with Roger Catino.
He continued his journey at Conservatorio “Arrigo Boito” in Parma, where he obtained Degree in Percussion Instruments with Danilo Grassi. Currently he still is a Master student at Conservatorio “Arrigo Boito”.
In 2017, he has been part of “Orchestra Giovanile Italiana” where he attended several lessons with Gregory Lecoeur and in 2020 “Orchestra Giovanile TCBO” with Andrea Scarpa, Radiana Redaelli and Mirko Natalizi.
In addition to curricular activities he also took part in numerous concerts with “Orchestra Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini”, “Filarmonica Teatro Comunale di Bologna”, ” Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto”, ”Orchestra L. Cherubini”, “Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo”, “Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana” and several conductors including Daniele Gatti, Riccardo Muti, Wayne Marshall.
He attended different masterclasses with principal orchestral parts held by Nick Woud (Concertgebouworkest), Carmelo Giuliano Gullotto (OSN RAI), Biagio Zoli (OSN RAI), Ilia Melikhov (RNO).
