Helene Fleuter

Helene Fleuter, born in Berlin in 2000, began her musical career on the piano at the age of five. During her piano studies at the Julius Stern Institute of the UdK in Berlin (2016-2018), she also intensified her horn playing under the direction of Martin Kühner (solo hornist of the Rundfunk- Sinfonieorchester Berlin). In 2018 she began her horn studies with Prof. Robert Langbein at the Carl-Maria-von-Weber University of Music in Dresden. Since 2021 Helene Fleuter has been studying at the Academy of Music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin with Prof. Sibylle Mahni.

Helene Fleuter gained her first orchestral experience in the Junge Philharmonie Brandenburg and the Junge Sinfonieorchester Berlin. During her years of study in Dresden, she regularly played in the Gerhard Hauptmann Theatre in Görlitz, the Elbland Philharmonie and in the brass quintet of the Sächsische Staatskapelle.

She received valuable musical impulses at numerous master classes with Prof. Dallmann, Prof. Lampert, Prof. Mahni, Prof. Hauschild, Prof. Hinterholzer, Prof. Frøydis Ree Wekre, Prof. Zempléni and Prof. Zell.

As a multiple national prize winner on the piano e.g. at the competition “Jugend musiziert”, Helene Fleuter gave many solo performances on regional stages in Berlin and Brandenburg, including the Konzerthaus in Berlin. In 2021 she performed as a horn soloist with the Erzgebirgische Philharmonie in Aue.

From summer 2022, Helene Fleuter will be a member of the European Youth Orchestra (EUYO).
