Born in France, Manon Gayet began to play the flute at the age of 7. She studied in the Conservatoire de Toulouse where she obtained her DEM (Diploma of music studies) before going to study with Pascale Feuvrier in the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison. Then she achieved her Bachelor of music at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, studying with Michel Bellavance, and Jerica Pavli for the piccolo. In 2021 she also started to study at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Prof. Michael M. Kofler.
She is passionate about playing in orchestra and performed with several youth orchestras such as Orchestre Sostenuto (France), Orchestre de la Francophonie (Canada) and Orchestre Français des Jeunes. For the season 2021-2022 she is an academist in the orchestra of the Musikkollegium Winterthur in Switzerland. She has collaborated among others with conductors like Gábor Takács-Nagy, Roberto Gonzales Monjas, Alexander Shelley, Michael Schønwandt, and played in Victoria Hall Geneva, National Art Center of Ottawa, Maison Symphonique de Montréal, Nouveau Siècle de Lille, Philharmonie de Paris.
During her studies she received precious advices from great musicians like Patrick Gallois, Sandrine Tilly, Julien Beaudiment, Andrea Lieberknecht, Emmanuel Pahud, Silvia Careddu etc.
She is thrilled to join the EUYO in 2022.
