Artūrs Perts

Arturs Perts (1999) is a Latvian clarinetist currently studying with Prof. Björn Nyman at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. Passionate about orchestra and chamber music Arturs is a frequent guest musician in Latvian National symphony orchestra, Latvian National opera and ballet orchestra and chamber orchestra "Sinfonietta Riga".
In 2017 Arturs appeared as a soloist with the Rousse Philharmonic orchestra and in 2018 with Liepaja Symphony orchestra.
Arturs has participated in masterclasses and received lessons from world renowned clarinetists - Yehuda Gilad, Björn Nyman, Romain Guyot, Nicolas Baldeyrou and Harri Mäki among others.
In 2007 Arturs started playing clarinet with teacher Gunārs Kļaviņš at the Emīls Dārziņš School of Music in Riga, Latvia. In 2013 Arturs for the first time participated in the music school's symphony orchestra performing Beethoven 5th symphony. With love for meaningful and expressive music making, from an early childhood Arturs has always been very eager to accomplish his dreams becoming a highly professional clarinetist who performs as a solo, chamber and orchestra musician.
