Alberto Blanco García
Alberto Blanco García (1996) began his studies at the age of nine in Lanzarote, Spain. He studied at the conservatory in Tenerife with Vicente Ferrer, clarinetist of Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife and with Cristo Barrios, international soloist, where he obtained an Honors as well as an End of Degree’s Award. Alberto studied his bachelors degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under the instruction of Maestro Arno Piters (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra). He is currently doing his postgraduate studies in Geneva, at the Haute École de Musique de Genève with the renowned clarinetist Romain Guyot.
Chamber music is of great importance to Alberto, he has participated in important festivals such as the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, as well as concerts in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, England and Switzerland. He has been the representative of the community of the Canary Islands in the final of the Intercentros Melómanos competition in Madrid.
In the orchestral field, Alberto has been a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Canary Islands since 2017, and a member since 2020 of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, JONDE. Currently is a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra, EUYO.
As a soloist he has played with Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria.
