Marin Cvitanović was born on September 11, 1995 in Zagreb, Croatia. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, in the class of doc. Mario Šincek, and then enrolled in a master's degree at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, in the class of prof. Dušan Kranjc. He finished primary and secondary music school at the Vatroslav Lisinski Music School in Zagreb, under the mentorship of prof. Davor Požgaj. He was awarded the Rector's Award of the University of Zagreb in 2017 for the performance of the opera "The Cunning Little Vixen" by Leoš Janáček. In 2020, Marin started studying the baroque bass trombone (sackbut) with Adrian France.
He has collaborated with numerous orchestras and ensembles, including Philharmonie Salzburg, Euro Symphony SFK Klagenfurt, the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharmonic Revial Orchestra, the Croatian Baroque Ensemble, the Mostar Symphony Orchestra and the Croatian Armed Forces Symphonic Wind Orchestra.
He actively participates in seminars of eminent professors such as Jacques Mauger, Jesper Busk Sørensen, Tomer Maschkowsky, Zoltan Kiss, Ian Bousfield, György Gyivicsán, Gustav Hona, Tomas Eibinger, Otmar Gaiswinkler, Christian Winter, Johann Reiter, Gerald Pöttinger and others.
