Laure-Anne Simon (b. 2001) is a french violist currently studying with teachers David Gaillard and Nicolas Bône at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. She started the viola at the age of 5 and she worked with teacher Anne-Aurore Anstett at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris for 6 years.
She also has attended Masterclasses with teachers Tatjana Masurenko, Geneviève Strosser, Françoise Gneri and Michel Michalakakos.
In 2018, she won the 3rd price at the Concours National des Jeunes Altistes.
Laure-Anne began playing in orchestras at 8 with the Orchestre des Petites Mains Symphoniques. In 2019, she was a member of the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra. From 2019 to 2021, she participated to the Orchestre Français des Jeunes, leading the viola section during her last year. She works occasionally with the Orchestre National de France. During these experiences, she worked under the direction of Ken-David Masur, Stanislav Kochanovsky, James Gaffigan, Fabien Gabel, Michael Schonwandt, Karina Canellakis, Cristian Macelaru, Alexandre Bloch and Bruno Mantovani.
