Szymon Strusiński

Szymon Strusiński - born in 2003, began to play the cello at age of 7. He is currently studying with Piotr Hausenplas at the Zenon Brzewski Secondary Music School in Warsaw. He is a laureate of national and international cello competitions, among others: the International String Instruments Competition Talents for Europe in Dolny Kubin, Kazimierz Wiłkomirski International Cello Competition in Poznań and Cello Competition in Wrocław and also chamber music competitions in Toronto and Moscow. Szymon worked with eminent professors such as: Arto Noras, Gotthard Popp, Claus Reichardt and Wen Sinn Yang. In 2019, he took part in the RCO Young, orchestral project organized by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam. Szymon has performed on stages in Poland and abroad, including: Concert Hall of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Concert Hall of the Philharmonic in Opole, the Ballroom of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Ballroom of the Castle in Łańcut, the hall of the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Center in Lusławice, the Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Flagey Concert Hall in Brussels. He also took part in La Folle Journée Festival in Warsaw. Szymon earned a three-year scholarship of the Polish Children’s Fund for outstandingly talented polish students and Scholatship of Minister of Culture and National Heritage in year 2021.
