Riccardo Baiocco

"Riccardo starts studying double bass with the professor Piermario Murelli in 2010 at the ""G. Verdi"" Conservatory in Milan. Since 2016 to 2022 he has been in the class of professor Franco Petracchi at the Stauffer Center for Strings and since 2020 he has been attending a Master Orchestra in the class of professor Alberto Bocini in the Haute école de musique de Genève. In february 2023 he passed the exam to start his post graduate course Orchestersolist at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim with the professor Petru Iuga.
He won some auditions to collaborate like double bass tutti in Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Sinfonieorchester Basel, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, Fondazione dell’Arena di Verona, Orchestra del Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino of Florence, Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi of Trieste, Orchestra Regionale Toscana of Florence, Orchestra of the Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari and like double bass solo in Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi of Trieste and Sinfonietta de Lausanne. From September 2023 he will be academist with the Concertgebouworkest.
He was awarded in International Music Competition City of Stresa XXXVI Edition, International J.M.Sperger Competition for Double Bass (2020 Quarantine Edition), VI Rizzardo Bino Competition 2022, Giorgi Competition 2022, Note di Talento Competition 2022, Bottesini al Verdi di Milano Competition 2022, The International Anton Rubinstein Competition 2022 and others.
From August 2022 he has a temporary contract as double bass tutti with Sinfonieorchester Basel and he will be member of EUYO 2023. "
