Simon Dallmeier

Simon Dallmeier (*2002) was born in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany) and grew up in Louvain (Belgium), where he had his first bassoon lessons with Chantal Derongé. After pre-college with Pieter Nuytten and Graziano Moretto at KASK Gent, he is currently studying with Prof. Eberhard Marschall at HMTM München. Additional inspiration he acquired in lessons and masterclasses by, amongst others, Sergio Azzolini, Dag Jensen, Georg Klütsch, Gustavo Nuñez and Bram van Sambeek, as well as during his time as a member of the Landesjugendorchester Nordrhein-Westfalen and the German National Youth Orchestra. Simon won scholarships and awards with Classic Young Masters in Rotterdam and, most recently, the Dutch Bassoon Network at the International Bassoon Festival Maastricht. Following these awards, Simon made his soloist debut at Podium Witteman in 2020 in collaboration with the Young Talent Orchestra Rotterdam. In his free time he can be found training or racing his road bike all over Germany, or in the kitchen trying to create deliciously tasting dishes.
