Andrea Ferraiuolo

Andrea Ferraiuolo was born in Salerno, Italy in 1999 and started playing the french horn in secondary school with Alessandro Vuolo.
He started his accademic studies at the ""Conservatorio G.Martucci di Salerno"" with Prof. Filippo Azzaretto
and continued his studies at the ""Conservatorio C.Monteverdi di Bolzano"" and at the ""Scuola di musica di Fiesole"" with Prof.Luca Benucci, one of his main mentors, where he completed his master's degree with full marks and
honour.
In 2022/23 he continued his studies abroad attending the ""Konzertexamen"" in Saarbrücken, Germany at the ""Hochschule für Musik Saar"" with Prof. François Bastian.
Over the years he had the opportunity to take masterclasses with several great horn players like: Stefan Dohr, Radovan Vlatković, André Cazalet, Markus Maskuniitty, Hermann Baumann and Dale Clevenger.
In 2022 he won the audition for third horn with duty of the first at ""Fondazione Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari"" and in 2023 he won the audition for Solo horn of the ""Neue Philharmonie Westfalen"".
He performed with ""Maggio Musicale Fiorentino"" under the baton of many renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Daniele Gatti, Myung Chung, Fabio Luisi, Esa-Pekka Salonen, James Conlon.
