Karolína Krigovská
Karolína Krigovská, born in Bratislava (Slovakia) in 1998, first started playing the violin at the age of 4 with her father Ján Krigovský.
In 2016-2020 Karolína studied at the State Conservatory in Bratislava in the violin class of J. Horváth, the concertmaster of the Slovak Philharmonic. During this time she took part in several national and international competitions as a soloist and also as a chamber musician. She continues her studies with J. Horváth at the VŠMU (University of Music) in Bratislava and at the same time she studies at the Private Music University of Vienna (MUK) in the class of Professor D. Karvay, the concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
She was able to gain a lot of artistic knowledge by participating in master classes with artists such as A. Soumm, Midori, R. Kovač, Y. Bashmet, I. Karško, G. Letzbor, J. Špaček, M. Paľa or M.Hossen.
She was concertmaster of the Slovak Youth Orchestra and also of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Music University in Bratislava. Karolina is co-founder and active player of several ensembles and orchestras: Contrasttrio, StoriesQuartet, Nanovoensemble, Collegium Wartberg Young, Slovak Chamber Orchestra and theSlovak Philharmonic.
While playing the „modern“ violin she also devotes herself to the baroque violin. She performs with baroque ensembles like Solamente Naturali, Musica Aeterna, Czech Ensemble Baroqueand Freitagsakademie.
As a soloist she played with the Belizcay Chamber Orchestra, Capella Istropolitana, the Chamber Orchestra of the Bratislava Conservatory, the Bruno Walter Symphony Orchestra, Nanovoensemble and Collgium Wartberg to name a few.
