Rafael Mendoza Muñoz

Rafael was born in Albacete (Spain) in 2001. He began his double bass education when he was seven years old in “Real Conservatorio Profesional de Música y Danza de Albacete"" with Pepe Tevar and with the great help of Luisa Martinez. 

Currently, he is studying his third academic year of bachelor in Doublebass Performance in Musikene (Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco, Spain), with the teachers Pierre-Emmanuel de Maistre and Julio Pastor. 

He attended masterclasses with Rick Stotijn, Wies de Boevé, Edicson Ruiz, Thierry Barbé, Rodrigo Moro, Antonio Torres, Joaquín Arrabal, Guillermo Sánchez y Jorge Martínez. Besides, he has played with different youth orchestras such as, Moritzburg Festival Youth Orchestra, JOCLM (Joven Orquesta de Castilla La Mancha), JONC (Joven Orquesta Nacional de Cataluña), JOSCT (Joven Orquesta de Cartagena) and Joven Orquesta de Cordoba.

While he studies double bass he has started learning how to 
record classical music with profesional quality. Nowadays, he has done some classical music/video recordings.
