Cecilia Michieletto

Cecilia Michieletto (2004) began studying violin at the age of 7 with Maestro Paolo Piomboni, violinist of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Roma, and started playing in youth orchestras and chamber ensembles as well as partecipating with good results in national and international competitions since the age of 8.
At the age of 13 she was admitted to the Violin Academic Triennium and at 16 to the Violin Academic Biennium at the Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Roma, studying with Maestro Gualtiero També and then with Maestro Marco Fiorini, her current teacher.
In 2020, at the age of 16, she partecipated in the Concertgebouworkest Young and EUYO auditions and succeeded at both. 
In summer 2021 she participated in the Concertgebouworkest Young under the direction of Maestro Daniel Harding, playing in Netherlands and Germany.
In July 2022, at the age of 18, she obtained the High School Diploma and in October 2022 the I level Diploma (Bachelor degree) in Violin with full marks cum laudae. 
During summer 2022 Cecilia participated in the Ticino Musica Festival in Switzerland playing chamber music concerts, in particular she had the opportunity to be part in Mendelssohn’s octet with Masters Marco Rizzi, Nils Mönkemeyer and Giovanni Gnocchi.
Currently she is Concertmaster of the ONCI (Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale dei Conservatori Italiani) and of the OGFR (Orchestra Giovanile Fontane di Roma) and she collaborates with the Orchestra Roma Sinfonietta. She was first violins Concertino of the Juniorchestra Young of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, winning scholarships for three consecutive years (2019-2021) and performing with artists like Giovanni Sollima, Salvatore Accardo, Mario Brunello, Igudesman & Joo, Stefano Bollani e Nicola Piovani in the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Roma. 
With orchestras in reduced members and as string quartet she has performed several times in the institutional places in Roma such as the Suprema Corte di Cassazione, the Parliament, the Senate, the Quirinale in the presence of the President Sergio Mattarella, and at Sala Nervi (Aula Paolo VI) in Vatican in the presence of the Pope Francesco.
She has performed as a soloist accompanied by orchestra in various occasions since the age of 10 performing concertos by Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart and Prokofiev.
She participated as effective student in masterclasses of the Masters Roberto González-Monjas, David Romano, Carlo Maria Parazzoli, Marco Fiorini, Pavel Berman, Marco Rizzi and Felix Ayo.
Together with her cellist sister Greta she forms the ""Duo Michieletto"", winner of prizes and awards and invited to participate in the Italian tour ""Bella Musica 2021"" organized by the Universitat Mozarteum of Salzburg and directed by Maestro Stefan David Hummel.
