William Ronneburg

Born in Seattle, Washington, German/American bass trombonist William Ronneburg started playing trombone when he was 10 years old. He now lives in Vienna, Austria where he studies with Hans Ströcker at the Universität Graz — Institut Oberschützen. Prior to moving to Vienna, William studied with Stephen Fissel and Jen Hinkle through his high school years in Seattle, Washington and attended Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois where he studied with Michael Mulcahy, Randall Hawes, Timothy Higgins, Douglas Wright, and Christopher P. Davis. During his time in the USA, William toured Brazil with the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Canada as a member of l’Orchestre de la Francophonie. He spent previous summers attending music festivals such as the Busan Maru International Music Festival in South Korea with l’Orchestre de la Francophonie and Boston University Tanglewood Institute. 
In Vienna, William has had the privilege to play with ensembles such as the Wiener Philharmoniker, Wiener Staatsoper, Wiener Hofmusikkapelle, Bühne Baden Orchester, Wiener Jeunesse Orchester and the Wiener Philharmoniker Angelika Prokopp Sommerakademie.
William is thrilled to join the EUYO in 2023!
