Bjarke Ramnefjell Schousboe

Bjarke was born in 2003 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Growing up in a family of musicians, Bjarke had his first bassoon lesson at age 7. Since then he has won numerous prizes, scholarships and competitions, such as the Copenhagen Summer festival, Jacob Gade Foundation and SydBank Foundation talent prizes, a gold medal in the Berlingske Times' Classical Music Competition, as well as the 1. Prize and Talent prize in the Danish Classical Music Youth Competition, among others.

In 2022 he entered the Bachelor's Programme at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where he receives lessons from Sebastian Stevensson and Audun Halvorsen. Furthermore, he has participated in masterclasses with Prof. Ole Kristian Dahl, Bram van Sambeek, Guilhaume Santana, Riccardo Tertzo and Vaclav Vonacek.

He has played several different solo recitals and participated in chamber music festivals such as the Copenhagen Summer Festival and Odsherred Chamber Music Festival. Additionally, he has assisted and played with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Danish Royal Guard Orchestra, as well as the Danish Youth Ensemble.
