Hanna Maria Semper
Hanna Maria Semper (2002) began her musical education with the violin at the age of 8 and switched to the viola 8 years later. After graduating from Tallinn Music High School with the highest grades she continued her studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Johanna Vahermägi. Currently she is studying at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with prof Lilli Maijala and Annariina Jokela.
Hanna is an active chamber and orchestra musician along with performing as a soloist, she also has a lot of experience as the principal violist in a number of orchestras. She has won several awards from the national competitions, also as a chamber musician. Hanna has taken part in the Pärnu Music Festival and Järvi Academy several times. In 2022 she participated in the collaboration project “Baltic Roots” with the Karajan Academy in Berlin.
She has attended masterclasses of Ulrich Knörzer, Mikhail Zemtsov, Alexander Zemtsov, Xandi van Dijk, Susie Mészáros, and the Signum Quartet, among others.
