Anna Swoboda
Anna was born in 2000 in Cieszyn (Poland). She started playing the piano at the age of 7 and the double bass at the age of 12. She started her studies at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf in the class of Professor Rick Stotijn.
Winner of multiple national double bass competitions, she has additionally participated in various orchestral projects such as the one of the Emirates International Peace Music Festival in Dubai, and Festival: La folle Journée in Warsaw.
Alongside these accomplishments, she has won many prestigious scholarships in Poland and Germany, including a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and Research Program for the Youth of Poland, as well as one from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Germany. Apart from the EUYO, Anna has been a member of many youth orchestras such as the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie,
Sommermusikakademie Schloss Hundisburg, Lutosławski Youth Orchestra and European Spirit of Youth Orchestra.
She has participated in many Masterclasses with renowned bassists such as Catalin Rotaru, Thierry Barbé, Olivier Thiery, Burak Marlali, Rodrigo MoroBogusław Furtok,
Wolfgang Güttler. As of August 2022, Anna has been an Academist at Essen Philharmonic.
