Natalia Gavilán Quero

Natalia Gavilan was born in Cabra (Córdoba, Spain) in 2003.
She began her oboe studies at the age of 7 at the Conservatorio Profesional “Maestro Chicago Munoz“ with Maria Fernández Bueno.
In October 2021 she moved to Berlin to study her Bachelor degree at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler“ with Dominik Wollenweber.
From 2017 to 2021 she studied at Barenboim Said where she had the opportunity to learn with Sarah Roper, José Manuel Gonzalez, Jose Luis García and Ramón Ortega. There she recorded for the National Ballet of Spain made in 2020 with the „Real Orquesta de Sevilla“ for its next premiere, “La Bella Otero“, under the batton of Juan Manuel Busto.
She has been a member of different national and international youth orchestras such as the Andalucía Youth Orchestra, Cordoba Youth Orchestra Academical Project made by the “Orquesta Ciudad de Granada”, European Young Orchestra Academy, Sommermusikakademie Schloss Hundisburg.
She has been directed by well-known conductors like Juanjo Mena, Iván Fischer, Manuel Hernandez Silva, Pedro Hafftler, Pablo Heras Casado and Joseph Swensen. She has collaborated with professional orchestras such as Orquesta de Cordoba, Orquesta de Granada and Berliner Symphoniker.
Natalia has won prizes in many competitions, such as Germán Romero Bellido contest, Villa Ducal de Osuna contest, LLosa de Ranes (Valencia) and Competition Jerez de la Frontera.
