Andrea Lamoca Álvarez

Andrea Lamoca Álvarez was born in Palencia (Spain) in 2000. She began her viola studies at the of 10 at theConservatorio Profesional de Música de Palencia withAinara Basaguren Mendiolea and Helena Fernández Berdión (2010-2018). When she finished, she obtained theExtraordinary Excellence Award of Castilla y León. Later, she studied the bachelor degree with Josep Puchades at theConservatorio Superior de Música del País Vasco, finishing with the highest qualification (2018-2022). Nowadays, she is studying the Performance Master withAndra Darzins at the Hochschule für Musik undDarstellende Kunst in Stuttgart.
Currently, she is member of the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE). She has played with several youngorchestras such as Joven Orquesta del País Vasco (EGO), Joven Orquesta de Canarias (JOCAN), Joven Orquesta de Valladolid (JOSVA)… She has also played with theOrquesta Sinfónica del País Vasco. She has also givenconcerts with her chamber music groups at the Fundación Juan March (Madrid), Fundación Eutherpe (León), Palacio de Miramar in the musical fortnight of San Sebastián and also in the MusaE concert cycle (Music in StateMuseums).
Throughout all her studying period she has receivedmasterclasses from William Coleman, Thomas Riebl orPauline Sachse, among others.
