Jacopo Di Gennaro

Jacopo Di Gennaro was born on May 4, 2006 in Rome, raised by a family of musicians. He began studying the oboe at the age of five with M. Stefania Mercuri and later with M. Eugenio Mutalipassi at the Conservatorio A. Casella in L'Aquila. Subsequently in Trento at the Conservatorio F. A. Bonporti in Trento and Riva del Garda with M. Stefano Tomasi first and currently with M. Giorgio Cassetta. He is currently a student in the Academic route of the Bonporti Conservatory of Trento in Italy.

In 2014 he became a pupil of Maestro Francesco Di Rosa, Principal Oboe of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and in 2018 he won the participation in the Master of High Education at the “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia” in Rome and in 2020 at the prestigious “Accademia Filarmonica”in Bologna.

He has also been a student of international Masters such as Francois Leleux, Albrecht Mayer, Stefan Schilli, Fabien Thouand, Nicholas Daniels, Alexei Ogrintchouk, Domenico Orlando, Ramòn Ortega Quero and Rossana Calvi.

He has won numerous national and international competitions Like Amadeus International Music Awards 2022, IMC International Music Competition 2022, International BTHVN Wien Music Competition 2022, Concours International de Jeunes Musicines de Talent ""Nouvelles Etoiles"" 2022, Tokyo International Youth Music Competition 2022 and others.

In 2021 he won the prestigious ""Premio Nazionale delle Arti '' with a special assignment by the jury of an honorable mention, becoming the youngest oboist to have won in 15 consecutive editions.

When he was only 15 years old he was called by the Mozarthaus in Vienna to play the role of Oboe Soloist in Hummel's Concerto.

He has performed twice at the ""Camera dei Deputati"" in Rome, in numerous Basilicas throughout Italy and in the most prestigious concert halls in Italy and abroad and has been conducted by important conductors such as Renzetti, Accardo, Sollima, Visco, Lanzillotta, Passerini, Di Rosa, Bacci, Alcacer Durà, Guarino, Albertin, Schiavone, Somadossi, Milankovic, Lloyd and many others.
