Lyusi Hovhannesyan

Born in 2000 into a family of Violinists , Lyusi Hovhannesyan took violin classes with her father and Professor Robert Hovhannesyan starting from a very young age.
Since October of 2019 , she started her Bachelor studies with Professor Barnabas Kelemen, and continues her degree currently with Professor Nadja Nevolovitsch, in HfMT Cologne, Germany.
Throughout her early life, Lyusi has given many solo recitals with outstanding repertoire as well as performed in various concert venues around Europe as a “Cyprus Young String Soloists” ensemble member.
Lyusi has been a member of the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra and has worked with the Cyprus Philharmonic Orchestra, performing in various venues across Cyprus, aswell.
In June 2014 at the age of 13, she had her debut performance as a soloist with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, perfoming Paganini’s “ ‘Moses ‘ Variations on G string”
In May 2016 she won the 1st Prize in the “ 3rd Avaton Young Performers Competition of Contemporary Music” one of the repertoire pieces being her own father's composition for solo violin, in Limassol (Cyprus).
In May 2017 she participated in the project called “United by Music”, sitting side-by-side with the Berliner Philharmoniker in Paphos 2017-European Capital of Culture (Cyprus).
Between 2016-2019, she was a member of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, as a tutti member as well as a Concertmaster.
Lyusi Hovhannesyan auditioned and joined the European Union Youth Orchestra in the Summer of 2017 as a summer-school student, where she later became a full member in the following years, gathering enormous amount of experience in the field of Orchestra, working with outstanding musicians and conductors all over Europe and the world.
She has participated in tours of the following years: 2018,2019,2020 and 2021.
Lyusi will join the EUYO once again on the summer tour of 2023.
In the Summer of 2022, Lyusi was selected and participated at the Hundisburg SommerMusikAkademie.
As of 2023, Lyusi Hovhannesyan has won an internship position for 1 year and is a member of the Bochumer Symphoniker, in Germany.
