Karolina Aurelia Walarowska
After graduating from her previous studies at the Academy of Music in Poznań, Karolina is currently doing her Master's Degree at The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague in the violin class of Ilona Sie Dhian Ho.
She has performed with various orchestras and ensembles across Europe, in The United Arab Emirates, Canada, Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay and Cuba. As a violinist she attended masterclasses with such great musicians as Stephen Picard, Nora Chastain or Maxim Vengerov, she also worked with many world-class soloists and conductors among whom there are Gianandrea Noseda, Vasily Petrenko, Nikolaj Zneider, Baiba Skride, Alexandra Dariescu, Nicolas Altstaedt and others. She performed at such festivals as the BBC Proms, Young Euro Classic, Chopin and his Europe, Poznań Music Spring and Bolzano Festival.
As an artist, Karolina loves to go beyond what is considered to be a traditional role of a classical musician - she therefore enjoys taking part in creative projects that cross the boundaries between arts. In 2019 she represented The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague in Creative Dialogue XI organised by the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki where she had the honour of working with Kaija Saariaho. Since 2020 she has also been a part of the Ensemble Academy master's specialisation focused on performing contemporary music where she had the chance to work and perform with Asko Schönberg in various projects. Furthermore, she finds great passion in performing chamber music and she has been a member of various chamber groups.
Apart from her great interest in music, Karolina also loves to travel, draw, carve and read. She has been a member of the EUYO since 2017.
