Sofía Zamora Meseguer

Sofía Zamora Meseguer was born in 1997 in Almoradí (Spain). She started to play the oboe at the age of 7. She studied in Conservatorio Profesional de Almoradí, and she finished her Bachelor Degree in Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid with professor Juan Carlos Báguena with Special End of Degree Award. Now she is studying master degree at "Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig with professor Nick Deutsch. She is member of the Karajan Akademie of the Berliner Philharmoniker since september 2021, where her main teacher is Andreas Wittmann.

She joined the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) in 2018, and she is also member of the Junge Deutsche Philarmonie (JDPH) and National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE).

She has been member of Orchestral Academy of the Schelswig-Holstein Musik Festival (SHMF), National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands (NJO), Joven Orquesta de la Generalitat Valenciana (JOGV) and Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (JORCAM). She has played with some professional orchestras like Deutsche Oper Berlin, National Orchestra of Spain (OCNE), Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid - Titular del Teatro Real, ADDA Simfònica, Orchestra of Picardie, Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid (ORCAM), Orquesta de Córdoba...

She won Premio Extraordinario del Conservatorio de Almoradí, Premio Extraordinario de la Comunidad Valenciana, Premio Nacional al rendimiento académico, and Beca de la excelencia de la Comunidad de Madrid. She has played as a soloist: Concerto for oboe of W. A. Mozart with OSASV, concerto for oboe of D. Cimarosa with JOGV, El Bosque Mágico of Ferrer Ferrán with Banda Municipal de Alicante and Unión Musical de Almoradí, Concerto for oboe in C major of A. Vivaldi with Orquesta Clásica de Orihuela, Concerto for oboe of B. Martinu with Orquesta Sinfónica del Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid.
