Rosa de Valme García Varela
Rosa de Valme García, born in 1994, started playing the cello at the age of eight in Sevilla, Spain.
She started her musical education at the age of 5 taking piano lessons.
During her studies in the Conservatorio Superior de Música “Manuel Castillo” in Sevilla, where she graduated in 2017, Rosa was member of the Youth Orchestra of Andalucía (OJA). She joined the EUYO in 2019.
As a chamber music player, Rosa is part of Parola piano trío, tutored by Nonna Natsvlishvili, former student of V. A. Berlinsky, first cellist of the Borodin Quartet. She also received chamber music advices from Igor Sulyga, ex violist in the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra.
Rosa has attended masterclasses from Suzana Stefanovic, Viguen Sarkíssov and Asier Polo.
Currently, she is being tutored by Nonna Natsvlishvili, cellist of the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Sevilla, and ex-subprincipal cellist in the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra.
