Veronika Kahrer
Veronika Kahrer, born in 1996, received her first violin lessons at the age of five. She completed her bachelor studies in 2019 with Anke Schittenhelm at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with distinction. From 2019 to 2022 she studied at the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium (cooperation with Mozarteum University) under the guidance of Rudens Turku, with whom she is currently continuing her studies at the Stella Vorarlberg Privathochschule für Musik.
She has won numerous prizes at national and federal competitions in Austria as a soloist and in chamber music. For several years Veronika has played in the piano trio KAWUKA, which received an “Honorable mention” at the competition Concertino Praga 2012 and performed in the Wiener Konzerthaus (Musica Juventutis 2014). Also in 2014 she was a prizewinner with a string quartet at the Allegro Vivo Festival. In 2016 she received a third prize at the Austrian LIONS Music Competition.
She attended masterclasses with Christian Altenburger, Ana Chumachenco, Andreas Röhn, Benjamin Schmid and Ingolf Turban, among others.
Veronika was a member of the EUYO 2019. She regularly plays with the chamber orchestra ""Academia Allegro Vivo"" and the Pforte Kammerorchester Plus. She took part in an orchestra project in Singapore under Gábor Takács-Nagy in 2017 and gained experience with the orchestra “Recreation” in Graz in 2019. In 2022 she performed as concertmaster of the Wiener Jeunesse Orchester at the Carinthian Summer Music Festival.
