Marta Dettlaff
The best way where I can create beautiful sound and atmosphere is when I am playing with others, for instance in orchestra or chamber music, beacuse I love to be in a group of people who can share love for music together.
Marta Dettlaff was born in 2001 in Gdańsk. She started playing violin at the age of 4 in the class of Anna Podhajska at the Suzuki School in the same city. She currently studies at the Academy of Music in Łódź in the class of professor Łukasz Błaszczyk.
Marta has taken part in many orchestral projects, including the Lutosławski Youth Orchestra, Jugendsymphonieorchester in Tulln. In 2020 and 2021 she was selected as a member of the EUYO. Presently she is a member of PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra in Poland and also she is a leader in the Los Pagos Piano Trio.
She has performed in many famous concert halls across Europe including Royal Albert Hall, Musikverein, Wiener Konzerthaus, Elbphilharmonie, The Warsaw Philharmonic, The National Forum of Music, NOSPR.
Alongside playing orchestrally, Marta has won various awards in both solo and chamber music competitions. Some of the most significant include 1st Prize and Grand Prix in the Polish Music Competition od Wanda Wiłkomirska in 2020, 1st Prize in OPUS Competiton in 2022, 1st Prize and Grand Prix in the International ""Talents for Europe"" with her sister Wiktoria Dettlaff in 2019.
Music is my passion. It has changed my live and also gave me a bright path for what I really want to do in the future. I am so happy that I can be a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and have an opportunity to play with a lot of fabulous musicians and create with them music.
