Adam Ostrowski

Adam Ostrowski was born in Łódź on 3 September 1997. He took his first bassoon lesson when he was 11 years old.

He is taking his master's degree at Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of prof. Zbigniew Płużek, having obtained his bachelor's degree therein two years ago. He has improved his skills in mastercourses led by: Matthias Rácz, Ole Kristian Dahl, Václav Vonášek, Laurent Lefèvre, Roger Birnstingl, Martin Petrák, Robin O’Neill, Meyrick Alexander, Jarosław Augustyniak, Krzysztof Kamiński, Grzegorz Dąbrowski, Artur Kasperek, Arkadiusz Adamczyk, and Dorota Cegielska.

In 2020 he was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra. In 2019 he was the first bassoonist of the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra and in 2015 the first bassoonist of the Lodz Region Youth Orchestra Sinfonietta. He has worked with such orchestras like: Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish Camerata, Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic Orchestra, Warsaw Camerata, Chopin University Chamber Orchestra. He used to play in a wind quintet ensemble Hybrid Quintet and a woodwind trio. He has been awarded several prizes and distinctions at international and national competitions both in solo and chamber music categories.
