Alejandro Trigo Asensio

Alejandro Trigo was born in Madrid in 1996. He joined the “Padre Antonio Soler” Professional Music Conservatory where he took violin lessons for three years from Professor Fernando Rius and them with professor Raul Galindo for another three years after which he graduated with honours.

He finished his studies in Madrid in 2019, graduating with distinction, having studied with professor Valeria Zorina after having studied for two years with Yuri Nasushkin. He has been “concertmaster” recently of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE) of which he has been member since 2015.

Alejandro was a finalist in the Chamber Music competition run by the Regional Bank of Asturias, Spain in 2015-16. As a member of the Winterreise quarter, he was also a finalist in the XVII edition of the International Chamber Music competition Ecoparque de Trasmiera in Cantabria, Spain in 2019. He was awarded first prize in the over-18 category in the 7th edition of the International Competition “La noche en Madrid” in 2017. He was also awarded the Honorary Prize in the Talent Competition run by the K. Gurska Foundation in 2017.

He is currently studying a master program in Rotterdam with Maestro Gordan Nikolic.
He is member of the EUYO since 2020.
