Katarzyna Miśkiewicz studies piano with Professor Florian Wiek at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart.
She completed a master's degree in orchestral conducting at the Karol Lipiński Music Academy in Wrocław, during which she also studied on a scholarship at the Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy University of Music and Drama Leipzig. Before that she attended Fryderyk Chopin Music School, where she formed a successful piano duo that won among others 2nd prize at the Concorso Internazionale Pianistico Roma and 1st prize at the International J. Zarębski Music Competition.
As a soloist she won 3rd prize at the Henryk and Halina Stefańscy Chopin Pianist Tournament in Cracow. At that time she was also a scholarship holder of the Polish Ministry of Culture. For 5 years she has been playing the piano in the contemporary music ensemble "Sound Factory Orchestra", with whom she gives regular concerts in Europe (Poland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands).
Recently she also played as a member of the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra in the Oriental Arts Center Shanghai, China. As a conductor, she has worked with the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonie Lublin Symphony Orchestra and the Tadeusz Baird Philharmonic Orchestra Zielona Góra.
