Michal Slamka

Michal Slamka (4.10.1994) studied violin at conservatory in Nitra. His teachers were Stefan Madari, later his son Juraj Madari with whom he also studied viola.
At present he studies at university of performing arts in Bratislava (VŠMU), he is in first year of master's degree. His violin teacher is Juraj Tomka, primarius in Mucha Quartet.
During his studies he frequently attended masterclasses and music workshops and worked with renowned violinists (Dalibor Karvay – concertmaster of Vienna Philharmonics, Milan Paľa – Concert violinist and pedagogue, Peter Michalica and others..)
In 2014 he attended music campus in Graffeneg organized by EUYO.
In years 2016 and 2019 participated on summer tours with Slovak youth orchestra.
In 2017,2019 and 2020 attended masterclasses and festival of chamber music Konvergencie.
In 2018 won the 1st prize at the international competition – The 21st Century Art – in Vienna, category Chamber music (piano trio).
He is a member of EUYO since 2020.
