Ema Bajc was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. As a little girl, visiting the opera, she fell in love with the sound of the flute.
After finishing music high school in Ljubljana with Nataša Paklar, she continued her studies in Germany with Prof. Dejan Gavrić and after moved to The Netherlands, where, in the year of 2020, she obtained her masters degree at Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the class of Kersten McCall.
Ema’s first experience as a soloist was with Slovenian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, when she was thirteen. Even more than soloist, she enjoys chamber music. She is a member of Duo La Femme and Canal City Flute Quartet.
She gathered her orchestra experience in youth orchestras; European Spirit of Youth (Italy), Junge Norddeutsche Philharmonie (Germany), as an internship in Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Mainz (Germany), as a substitute at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden (Germany), Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (The Netherlands) and Het Noord Nederlands Orkest (The Netherlands).
In 2017 Ema played her first project with the EUYO orchestra, in 2020 she became its full member and she is thrilled to be joining the orchestra for 2021 again.
