Inés Moreno Martínez

Born in Santander (Spain), she made her first musical educations playing viola, cello, piano and horn. She finished her viola Bachelor with honors in Musikene (Music Centre of the Basque Country) where she studied with teachers Natalia Tchitch, David Quiggle and Karsten Dobers. She was a finalist in the IV International Music Competition "Triomphe de l'Art" held in Brussels (2018).

As for her orchestral experience, she has performed under conductors such as Alberto Zedda, Christoph Eschenbach, Vladimir Jurowski, Antoni Ros-Marbà, Krzysztof Urbanski and Sir George Benjamin. She is a member of the JONDE (Spanish National Youth Orchestra) (since 2017) and she was also selected to participate in the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (2018). She has also collaborated in professional orchestras such as the BOS (Bilbao Symphony Orchestra) (2018).

Involved with current music, she has played a wide contemporary repertoire collaborating with composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, Wolfgang Rihm, Thomas Kessler, and Dieter Ammann. She has been selected to participate in the Lucerne Festival Orchestral Academy (2019, 2020), focused on the performance of this kind of works. Very active in chamber music, she is a member of the Abreu Quartet (since 2015), which has been selected by the Quator Diotima Academy (2019) and with which she has given concerts in festivals such as La Scène National d'Orléans (2019), La Quincena Musical de San Sebastián (2016, 2018) and the Musika-Música Bilbao Festival (2017).

She is also a member of the Nacedo String Trio (since 2019) which was awarded the prize for the best performance of a Spanish work in the VIII International Chamber Music Competition “Antón García Abril” (2019).
