Carolina Úriz Malón

Carolina Uriz was born in Pamplona (Spain) in 1994. She started her music studies when she was 8 in Pamplona. She graduated in Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón with the teachers Álvaro Gallego, Alejandro Garrido and Avri Levitan.

In Zaragoza she also studied with Quiroga String Quartet. She continued her studies in Santiago de Compostela with a Postgraduate where she did an orchestra Academy with Real Filharmonia de Galicia. She received masterclasses from teachers like Simone Jandl, Máté Szücs, Pauline Sachse, Joaquín Riquelme and Hartmut Rohde. As an orchestra musician, she has been member of Young orchestras as Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE) and from now, European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO).

She also collaborates with profesional orchestras like Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC), Navarra Symphony Orchestra (OSN), Oviedo Filarmonía and Real Filharmonia de Galicia (RFG). She also collaborates with the Chamber Music and Social Project Musethica, having the opportunity to play with great musicians as Stephan Forck, Ulf Wallin, Anthea Kreston, Fernando Arias or Avri Levitan. She is now studying a Master in the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig with the teacher Samuel Seung Won Lee. She is also doing a Praktikum in MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig.
