Daniele Lorefice

Born in 1997 in Ragusa, he graduated in 2017 with 10/10 cum laude at the "V. Bellini" Conservatory in Catania, in the class of M° Maurizio Salemi. He studied in Fiesole with M° Giovanni Gnocchi and in Pinerolo with Prof. Marianne Chen, and he attended master classes with Massimo Polidori, Timora Rosler, Katharina Troe, Gianluca Giganti, Julian Steckel, Jerome Pernoo. He played with the "Cherubini" Youth Orchestra and the Italian Youth Orchestra, also like principal cello, collaborating with artists such as R. Muti, M. Pollini, L. Kavakos, G. Pretto, K. Blacher, A. Tifu , J. Rhorer, D. Gatti, G. Sollima. He is member of "Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico" in Vicenza, playing with musicians such as A. Lonquich, E. Onofri, G. Assh, G. Takacs, A. Marcon, A. Weithaas; he was eligible in auditions for "Orchestra Haydn" in Bolzano, "Orchestra Toscanini" in Parma, "Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana" in Palermo.
In 2020 he was admitted at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he is studying for the Master degree in the class of M° Michael Stirling, also deepening the study of baroque cello with Prof. Viola de Hoog.
