Katarina Kralj was born in 1997 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She started playing the violin at the age of 7 with the professor Tatjana Špragar. Than she attended Conservatory for Music and Ballet Ljubljana (KGBL), but also started studying with prof. Ilya Grubert in Portogruaro, Italy, through music school (Scuola di perfezionamento musicale). In her second year of high school, she started her education at KUG (University of music and performing arts Graz) where she studied in preparatory class. She continues her studies at Academy of music Ljubljana with prof. Vasilij Meljnikov and now at University of music and performing arts Vienna (MDW).
Through out her education, Katarina won some first and second prices at national and international competitions in Slovenia, Italy, Serbia,...She was a member of Mediterranean youth orchestra (MYO) in 2019. Katarina also got opportunities to play as a substituted in RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra.
She has performed some recitals and is continue collecting those experiences. Furthermore, she attended masterclasses with professors:
